A quiet moment of encouragement

A Prayer for Your Week

A few gentle words to take with you, whatever this week holds.

When work feels uncertain

Bible verse — paraphrased

May the Lord our God show us his kindness and help the work of our hands endure.

Psalm 90:17

Uncertainty about work can reach into your sleep, your confidence, and your plans for the people you love. God is near as you carry those worries, and there is room to admit your fear. Your worth reaches beyond employment or income. Choose one manageable task today, or ask a trusted person about practical help and qualified financial advice.

A prayer for your week

If you would like, pray these words slowly. You can change the words or simply sit quietly.

Father, I bring you the uncertainty around my work and the money worries that come with it. You know my responsibilities and the people I want to care for. Help me speak honestly about the pressure I feel.

Guide me towards useful advice, practical support, and the opportunities I can responsibly pursue. Give me strength for one manageable task, and help me remember my worth when answers take time. Amen.

A prayer from our small collection, changing each Sunday. Take your time; you can use these words or your own.
