You are not beyond love or mercy
God’s love is not reserved for people who have everything together. Christians believe that through Jesus, forgiveness, healing and a new beginning are offered to anyone who turns to God honestly. Whatever your past contains, you are welcome to begin again.
Prayer can be simple
You do not need perfect words. You can bring God your fear, grief, gratitude, questions and hope. Christians believe that God hears sincere prayer and responds with love and wisdom. The answer may not come in the way or at the time we expect, but we are always invited to speak honestly with God.
Prayer can stand alongside support from trusted people, church leaders, clinicians and emergency services. It does not replace practical or urgent help.
About this companion
This free, broadly Christian companion is for adults. Its summaries and prayers are original reflections, not Bible quotations or personal prophecy. Read the linked Scripture for its full context. It does not replace a pastor, clinician or trusted person. This is an early version; independent pastoral review is still pending.
Need urgent help?
If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call 999 or go to A&E. In England, for urgent mental-health support that is not an emergency, call NHS 111 and choose the mental-health option.
