How to read these stories
The summaries, questions and prayers are original reflections. They are not a Bible translation, a personal message from God, or a promise of a particular outcome. Each story includes a Bible reference so you can read the passage in context.
Christians understand some passages differently. A trusted church leader can help you explore questions. This is an early version, and independent pastoral review is still pending.
How the life situations were chosen
These life situations cover everyday feelings, relationships, loss, money, work, caring, health, habits and faith. We used public UK wellbeing resources to inform the range of topics, then made editorial choices for this Christian companion. Recommended starting points are an editorial selection to help you begin. They are not a popularity ranking or a measure of how serious a problem is.
The story pairings, questions and prayers are our original reflections. The organisations below do not endorse this app or its religious content. Sources checked on 1 October 2026:
Your words and privacy
The reflection matcher, story search and life-situation search work inside your browser. These reflection and search features do not send your typed words to a server or use cloud AI. Replies and combined prayers use pre-written wording for recognised themes. They can miss details or misunderstand a phrase; you can adapt the prayer, and a general prayer is offered when there is no close match. Reflection text is cleared after a non-empty submission. Story search is cleared when you open a story, and life-situation search is cleared when you open a situation. These searches are not put into the page address. A shared story address can reopen that story after reloading.
We have not added accounts, advertising, analytics, saved journals or reading-history storage. Reading size and the quiet-pause timer are temporary page settings. A copied story link contains only a story identifier, not your search or reflection.
Like other websites, loading this site requires requests to its hosting service, which may process connection information such as your IP address. Your browser and device may retain their own history or restored pages. These are separate from the app’s reflection matching. This page describes the app’s current behaviour; it is not a claim that all hosting or device processing has been independently audited.
Bible and support links open external websites, whose privacy practices apply there.
Optional weekly prayer emails
You can read A Prayer for Your Week without joining. Email signup is shown only when email delivery is ready. There is no account or membership fee.
If you choose to subscribe, we ask for your email address and your permission to send one weekly Christian prayer email. You must confirm using a link sent to your inbox before weekly emails begin. We store your email address, your confirmation and the wording version you agreed to. We do not attach your reflections, searches or reading history to your email address, or ask you to tell us your religion.
Subscriber records are held in the website’s hosted database. Resend processes email addresses and messages to deliver the emails. The messages include a website link and an unsubscribe link. The app does not add email-open tracking pixels. Email providers may keep their own delivery and security records.
You can unsubscribe at any time, without signing in, using the link in an email. This removes your subscriber record from the website’s active database. Unconfirmed requests are cleared during scheduled maintenance. To help prevent misuse, we temporarily store a coded rate-limit identifier rather than your raw IP address. We keep a limited delivery record to prevent duplicate emails.
